Another Family Timeline post! This one's about our first date! The funny thing about this date is that Andrew and I weren't actually on the date together. Here's what happened...
When I first met Andrew and his roommates, apparently Shaun "called me" first. Here's what I wrote in my journal:
I sat in front of my FHE brothers in Sunday school and had a pretty good lesson, but also enjoyed talking to them a little bit. Shaun was very sneaky, and right before the prayer, he asked me for my phone number so I gave it to him. I didn't have time to ask what he wanted it for, and by the time the prayer was over, had forgotten to ask. We chatted a little bit and during the course of our short conversations, he told me that he liked my hair, which is a random tid-bit that I wanted to add in, because I like it when people compliment my hair...
I actually got a phone call from Shaun (later that day). I talked to him for a little while and he asked me on a date for Friday night. Of course I agreed, but he wouldn't tell me what we were going to do. I'm actually pretty excited about it. The more I talked to him, the more I thought he was pretty cool. We'll see how it goes. Katie, Lindsay, and Heidi all said,
"Dude, he's basically in love with you," and Katie went as far as to say,
"Why do you think all the guys come over to our apartment?" she wound her finger in a circle and pointed it at me. I guess I won't lie, it was very flattering, and I kind of liked to hear it. Anyway, so I'm going on a date with Shaun on Friday night and I'm excited to find out what we're doing!
Don't judge me. That's what I wrote in my journal, and c'mon! It was flattering!
Anyway, during that week before the date, I decided that I was more interested in Andrew, so when Friday came around, I was a little less excited for the date than I had been, especially because Andrew was the other person in our double date and he took a girl that was pretty attractive (did you see what I did there? huh? huh?).
First we drove out to this hot springs, but decided that it wasn't as fun as we thought it would be so we went swimming at the guys apartment complex instead and then went to see the new "Star Trek" in theaters, which I LOVED. I have to admit, I'm a bit of a trekky. Thanks Dad for owning all of the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" VHS's and sharing them with me!
Fun Fact: While at the movie, Shaun bought a Jumbo sized popcorn and I ate the whole thing by myself. I really like popcorn.
And here's the last snippet from my journal:
When I met Andrew's date, I thought, "Andrew needs to get over her and date me!"
Oh my...
