Polka Dotted Headband

September 1, 2012

This headband was quick and easy!

You will need:
Fabric
Thread
Scissors
Tape measurer

As with many sewing projects, the most difficult part is measuring and cutting, so I'll make it easier for you. Here are the dimensions for my headband.

Length: 28 1/2"
Width: 4"

1. Cut out your material with these dimensions (two pieces).
2. Make a mark six inches in from both ends along the bottom and top edges of the headband.
3. Make a mark one and a quarter inch from the bottom and top along the shorter edge of each side.
4. Cut a straight line from mark to mark (bottom length mark to outside bottom mark, top length mark to outside top mark). Your material should look like this...

5. Pin your material, right sides together.
6. Stitch at 1/4" around entire headband except along one shorter end and then some (about three or four inches should be left un-sewn so you can turn your headband right-side out.

7. Turn headband right side out and stitch hole closed.

C'est fini! Here's what it should look like! Do you like it? Will you make one? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
