Brownies!

September 21, 2012
I was flipping through a cookbook and happened upon this recipe! It is pre-tty good! Here's how I made it.

You will need: for the brownie
1/2 c. Margarine
2 c. Sugar
1/2 c. Cocoa
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. Flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. Nuts chopped
Dash of salt

You will need: for the frosting
1/2 c. Melted butter
1/4 c. Cocoa
1 1/2 c. Powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. Milk
*I halved this recipe

Brownie:
1. Melt Margarine and mix it with sugar and cocoa.

2. Add eggs to mix one at a time, then vanilla and lastly the flour and salt.

3. Pour into pan (9x13 inches for full recipe, 8x8 for half). Add nuts on top then bake at 350 degrees (Fahrenheit) for 25 minutes.

Frosting:
1. Beat the butter with the cocoa, vanilla, and powdered sugar. Add the milk and beat until smooth.

2. Frost the brownies when they are completely cooled off.

The recipe tells you to sprinkle the nuts before you bake the brownies, but I decided to sprinkle mine on top after I spread the frosting. I guess either way is good! So try it out and let me know what you think!
