Moon River

October 16, 2012
Hey everybody! I have been DYING to post this one since I finished it last week... *Ahem* Introducing my very first self-designed and self-created dress!

My favorite part of this dress are the sleeves and the neckline. I love the three-quarter sleeved look and think it's very flattering on most women. The neckline I feel is elegant, classy, and has a hint of business to it as well. I got some of my inspiration from the classiest of classy women... Audry Hepburn.

I wanted a classic neckline like many of Audrey Hepburn's dresses, but a shape like the 60s. So that's what I did! Did I nail it?

By-the-way, can you say most awkward pose, EVER?

And, of course with ANY class look, you've gotta have the pearls!

So what do you think? And because it's tune in Tuesday, I think it's only fitting to choose "Moon River" from "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

By-the-way, head on over to Grits and Moxie and say hi to Jennifer! She just published one of my posts! It's a perfect recipe for a fantastic day... and Gingersnap cookies... They're practically interchangeable. Show her some love! In fact, if you haven't already, show me some love by clicking "Join this site" under "My adamant admirers" on the left sidebar. I promise I won't send you any annoying e-mails! I just like to meet my followers! Have a great day!

    1. I had to measure myself a few times, but mostly I used clothes that I liked the fit of and used them as patterns! It also came with a lot of trying on! Thanks Kathryn!
