Last year, I tried my hand at my very first wreath. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out, but it was missing a little something. I decided that it was missing our last name initial.
It was pretty simple, really. I purchased the letter “S” from Hobby Lobby for a couple of dollars, and used a foam brush and tempera paint to paint the entire letter white (I plan on being very careful with its exposure to water, seeing as the wreath is made out of crepe paper as well).
Then I used the eraser end of a pencil dipped in orange paint to create the polka-dots.
After that, all I had to do was use a ribbon to tie it to the wreath.
