Happy New Year: What I would write if Instagram's captions were long enough

January 4, 2025

Happy New Year! There are so many things I have loved about the past year.

Soccer Photography

September 24, 2024

For the past 2 years, I have been the official photographer for my now 12 year-olds soccer team. This year, her team gets the incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Spain to train. We are so excited for this opportunity for our daughter and her teammates and want to do what we can to help cover the costs for our girls. I've been considering doing something like this for a while and decided to finally go for it!

Family | Alexa's 5-year interview

July 28, 2019

I love making these interview videos every year for the kid's birthdays and seeing the ways they've changed and grown from year to year, although many times I listen to little Alexa and am reminded of the little 3-year-old naming Rollie Pollies and then squishing them (click here to watch that interview).

Elise Indietta | 4 months

July 19, 2019

It makes me feel sad to think about how little I’ve written down and documented about Elise’s life so far. There are so many things I want to remember about Elise as a baby and about our lives right now.

Photos taken at 30 weeks

Less than two weeks until her due date and it's about time I documented something about this pregnancy!

Family | Alexa's 4-year interview

January 22, 2019

What's my excuse this time for not getting this posted until half a year AFTER her birthday? *insert shrugging emoji here* Better late than never?

Family | Christmas 2018

January 8, 2019

Our family celebrated Christmas in California with Grammy, Opa, Aunts and Uncles, and little cousin Anders this year. It was so much fun to see the children interact with one another! Chelsea, Alexa, and Barrett adore Anders, and Anders tolerates Alexa's intense hugging, haha!

Family | Alexa's 3-year Interview

July 6, 2018

I'm only a year late... Yeah. I could do better. I'm super excited to do Alexa's interview this year, but I don't know how she's gonna top last years interview feat. Bella the Rollie Pollie.

Family | Trip to Florida 2018

June 20, 2018

It's embarrassing how late this post is. We went on this trip back in February and I'm just NOW posting about it? Ahhh-well... as they say, better late than never!

Chelsea's 6-year Interview

May 19, 2018

She's 6! I think making my girl's dresses and doing these interview videos are my favorite birthday traditions! Here are links to the other interviews and pictures I've done with her:

Family | Barrett turns 2

March 1, 2018

I wrote the title for this post, then I went back and spent about 20 minutes (JK. the next HOUR) reading all the other posts about him! And even though 2 years have passed and everything has changed, at the same time, nothing has changed. Barrett is still as much the sunshine in our home as he was the moment he entered our lives. I often comment to Andrew how much I love that you can always depend on Barrett to wake up in the morning with a smile, and be granted that same gesture multiple times throughout the day.

Family | Christmas 2017

January 14, 2018

It seems so long ago that Christmas happened! I think that's partially because a few days before, my niece got married!

Stange Family Vacation Summer 2017 | Oceanside

September 4, 2017

Happy Labor Day! I hope you're out doing fun things and relaxing from your labors today! We're hanging around in Utah today, but I definitely wouldn't mind being back in Oceanside today (or anyday for that matter!)

Chelsea's 5th birthday!

June 20, 2017
Just one more! This blog is here to share what I learn, to *hopefully* inspire you to try something new, to spread the love of Peach-Rings around the world, and to document my family. The past three posts it's all about Chelsea, so... deal. ;)

Chelsea was really excited about her birthday this year and had her birthday party with friends totally and completely planned out. Unfortunately, her mother wasn't totally on board, so that party didn't exactly happen. But she did have a LOT of fun with friends that day and didn't say a word about not getting her Alicorn birthday party, so I guess the fun with friends that day sufficed!

Breakfast are basically the only photos I got, but I figure as long as we captured the girl and the decorations she set up for her own special day, we're good, right?

Life Lately | Catch up!

April 24, 2017
What with the online classes I've been taking and trying to get this new house under control (and feed my family on occasion!) it's been hard to give this corner of the internet some love and attention!

But just like the middle child, even though it gets sidelined every now and then, it's never forgotten!

So let's do a little catch up and life lately, shall we?

Chocolate Pretzels!

March 13, 2017
Hey everybody! How ya been? Good? Good. Remember the chocolate bear from Barrett's smash cake in my last post? Well, I had leftover melted chocolate and about a million pretzels so I decided to cover those babies with the liquified deliciousness! It wasn't hard at all and, of course, I had a little help!

The Stange Family Magic Show + WE MOVED!

January 21, 2017
Okay, it has been WAY too quiet around here recently. Well, not around my house, definitely not. Quiet is not something that ever really happens here, but on the blog? too quiet...

SO!
Let me tell you what's been going on! We MOVED! Our lovely old house was just starting to feel a little cramped + Andrew was getting really tired of scraping off his windows in the morning and freezing his patootie off! It was time for an upgrade.

We didn't move too far away, just about 10 minutes from where we were before, but we love our new home!

Everything happened SO FAST! We listed it on Monday, two days later we were under contract, and about a month after that, we were gone! I hardly even had time to process what was going on. In fact, it didn't really hit me that we were moving until I did the dishes in that home for the last time!

I felt like I was prepared for most everything you expect when you move. What I didn't expect was not feeling at home in the new home, ya know? We loved the new house so much, I thought that homey feeling would just be there. But it wasn't, and that was kinda hard.

I decided to share how I was feeling with my wonderful friend, Mariasha, and she gave me some great adivce...

Get out your camera!

Take some pictures! Make some home videos! Make memories! Until there are memories, a house just isn't a home.

So that's what I did! I made a few home videos and took some pictures and I really do feel like this new house is our home now. Sure, there are still things to get used to, but we've already begun filling our home with memories, and that feels good.

I'll always love and be grateful for our first house. We brought home two babies to that house and watched our oldest baby grow into toddler and little girl-hood. We made cookies (remember those cookie cups?) and celebrated birthdays and Christmas. We even made Magic Shows!

I used to make these magic shows with my brothers and sisters when I was little and loved it! I'm happy that it was one more happy memory we got to make in our dear little house!

Thanks for stopping by today! See you next time!

Question: What games or traditions do you have with your siblings that you want to pass down? Leave a comment!

And don't forget to follow along on Instagram and Snapchat! That's probably where I'll post my home tour, first. In fact, I've already posted one!
