So, everyone knows that the basic must-have in order to become a beach babe is the hair. Of course I turned to Pinterest, and here's the result!
Visit my "Beauty" board on Pinterest to find the DIY recipe for Sea spray. It makes your hair smell really good and isn't as nasty feeling as I thought it would be. It was really simple and relatively fast. Just shower, DO NOT even TOUCH your hair with a towel, spray liberally all over with the spray, and scrunch your hair with a t-shirt (the fibers of a towel make your hair frizzy, while a t-shirt does not). Wait five minutes (or so) and repeat. Then, either let it air dry, or use a diffuser (I used a diffuser). Lastly, DO NOT flip your hair up if you're bending over to blow dry. Twist your hair/head around until you're standing up straight. Use a curling iron on any less-than ideal pieces, wrapping the hair around the iron.
If my method doesn't work for you, there are a million more ideas on Pinterest! Just check out my "Beauty" board for more tips and tutorials!

I am obsessed with coconut oil and I use it for everything, hair included! So I'll have to give this a try. but, what kind of gel do you use? just any normal hair gel?
ReplyDeleteI just used LA looks gel (the super cheap stuff) in the sea spray. I'm sure any gel would work. Thanks!
DeleteMy hair looks like that naturally. I've tried the sea spray in the past and it got WILD haha I'll love to get a diffuser soon.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try that sea spray!!! I'll definitely give it a go.

Ooh! Cute!!
ReplyDeleteI love the look on you! I need to try this. I've been a little leery of sea-spray because I've heard it can dry out your hair. I have the driest hair in the universe already! What do you think? Did it seem drying to your hair?
ReplyDeleteOh, one more thing, I looked at your Pinterest board and there were a bunch of different beach waves tutorials. Which one has the "recipe" you used?
I didn't notice any "dryage" really. It actually felt really nice and natural.
DeleteThe pin I'm referring to is the one that has the directions right on the photo. The rest of the pins are tutorials of how to do the beach hair look more than a tutorial for the spray. Does that answer your question? And thanks!
