Ridiculously easy headband!

August 6, 2012

Remember those lace-y bottomed tank tops and shirts everyone used to wear? Want an idea of how to use them? Try this.

Ridiculously easy.

It took me about ten minutes. Literally.

Sorry I look so angry in these pics. The sun was a little bright.

Here's how you do it...
You will need:
1 lace-bottomed tank or tee (mine was a tank, size medium)
Scissors
Sewing Machine (or needle)
Thread

1. Cut the lace from off the bottom of your tank or tee.
2. Now this next part is better explained with pictures, but here's the best I can do with written directions.
Wrap the two ends around each other and take them back the direction that they came from. Here are pictures to show you what I mean. I'm using a ribbon because I think you can see better what I mean with the ribbon.

3. Use a zig-zag stitch to sew the ends down so that it will still stretch. You'll probably be sewing the ends about three inches from the center on the back of your lace headband.
My left finger in this picture is pointing to where I sewed one end of my headband. My right finger is pointing to the center of my lace headband.

My middle finger is pointing to the back center of my lace headband. My pointer finger is pointing to where I sewed the other end (three inches away from the center).

Aaaaaand you're done! Easy peesy lemon squeezy!
