Chelsea just got 20% cooler

March 10, 2015
Chelsea is articulate. I love this stage when she can describe how she is feeling and when she uses some of my own phrases against me (most of the time it’s funny). Here are some of the funnier things she said lately.
In the morning: Turn on the light on!

Mom: Do you need to go potty?
Chelsea: No.
Mom: Are you sure?
Chelsea: No <<which actually means yes>>

Mom: Chelsea! Right now!
Chelsea: Okay okay!

When someone is hurt: Ohhhh! I’m sorry about that!

Mom: Ohhhh… I have a cold!
Chelsea: Don’t say “I have a cold.” I don’t want to hear that.

Chelsea to Daddy who was getting ready to go to a soccer game: Don’t go! Your wife is sick!

Chelsea: What is your name?
Mom: Mommy.
Chelsea: No, what is your name?
Mom: Mama.
Chelsea: No! What is your name?
Mom: Mother.
Chelsea: Yes. Your name is Mother, Daddy’s name is Andrew, and my name is Pretty Chelsea.

Everything ends with “huh?” and everything is cool. Chelsea is not cute, she is cool, and that wasn’t silly, it was cool, huh?
So really, this outfit is perfect for her personality (and everything else, for that matter)!

She LOVES the rainbow pocket on front! Perfect place to store all of her rocks and moneys!

Now, here’s what I love about it:
Handmade
Quality fabric
Sewn with precision and meticulous accuracy
Attention to detail
The colors are fantastic!
It’s rainbow dash
She loves it
It looks so cute on her
Perfect for pretend play

And Melissa (Little Miss Pinny) has so many other characters to offer, including Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Apple Jack (she’s my favorite!), Pikachu, Elsa, Batman (also a favorite), Robin, Mario, Luigi, and even Princess Peach. Didn’t see your favorite character in there? No worries! Melissa takes custom orders and is so easy to work with!
Seriously, guys, this pinafore is the best. If you want to get to know its maker a little more, she guest posted for me here, and she also has a blog.

Cool.

Lazy Dayzzz – Aria Row Photography

January 21, 2015
So, my friend Mariasha texted me last week on Thursday and said, “Hey, I’m taking this photography class and I need practice. Can I take pictures of you?”
“Oh, well if you insist…”
Mariasha came to my house, styled my hair and did my makeup, and helped me pose just perfectly for the photos.
Only hours later, she sent me these:

There are SO many things I love about this shoot. 1) That it took place in my own home – lazy dayzzz, right? 2) Mariasha is not only a photographer, but a cosmetologist as well and knows how to emphasize/bring out your strengths 3) she has GREAT style, fashion-wise and photography-wise 4) she’s fun to be around and easy to chat with 5) knows how to make you look and feel truly beautiful. Seriously. She is so talented.

Vision, creativity, natural instinct, and when it comes to making someone look and feel beautiful. “You make me feel like a natural woman…” No?
Thanks so much for making my Saturday a little more exciting than just our regular trip to Costco (although that is pretty tough to top).
If you’re in the Davis county/Utah Valley area and need a photographer, be sure to look Mariasha up! Click here to view her website.

By-the way, I took my two-year-old to a little gym where I will *hopefully* be registering her for gymnastics soon. She wasn’t too happy about not being able to slide down the slide or jump on the mats just yet and whacked me over the head in front of a couple of pitying mothers.
We are also considering purchasing a pet to help keep Chelsea occupied/entertained while I have some productive time (I blame you, Dougals!) Andrew wants a cat, I want a dog. Well, to be honest, I really don’t want either, but I think a dog would be more fun, loving, useful, etc. etc. Your thoughts?
P1170600^^she even got this guy to take a picture with me. she is good.^^

CHELSEA AND PRETTY LOVELY LITTLES

September 6, 2013
Today I want to spotlight a very special friend of mine. Her name is Chelsea and she is absolutely wonderful! Her blog is full of inspiring thoughts and positive writing and she somehow always finds the best in every situation.
Not only is she a blogger, but she is an Etsy shop owner, too! I'll let her introduce herself a little to you:

I've always loved all things crafty, so when I was planning my wedding, I knew I wanted to incorporate a ton of homemade things.  I ended up having a wedding that was 99.9 percent hand-crafted.  My mom joked that we hot glued an entire wedding!  I had so much fun making those things with her--it made the day so beautiful and my wedding was incredibly sentimental because of them.
After our honeymoon, I found myself missing staying up late making crafts.  I started my etsy shop to see if anyone else would buy some of the things I had made for my wedding, and I was pleasantly surprised at the answer!
I try to create things for my shop that add a little sparkle to everyday life.  Whether it's something for your home or for your wedding, I want to make things that add happiness to your day whenever you see them.

Until the end of the month, use code "CHEVRONLACE" to get 20% off your entire order.  I can't wait to make something for you!

XOXO,
Chelsea

It's a Pinterest wedding dream come true! Here's what I would do with Miss Chelsea's items.

Can you imagine having a blogging or book club party where everything is book-themed?! Imagine a refreshment table lined with a Write What you Love banner and book page bouquets in vases.

Each guest would receive a Book Page Boutonniere and there would be glitter clothespins on a line to hang up each club member's photo and/or pages from a favorite book.

As an activity, you could use the Write, Create, Inspire Dream cork board to brainstorm blogging or book ideas together and come up with something fantastic to write about.

And of course you'll need additional decorations and accessories, like a Yarn Tassel Garland, Hanging Fabric Flowers, and a Neon Fishtail Anchor Bracelet as the statement piece in your outfit.

Sounds like a party I would want to attend! Do yourself a favor, and stop by Chelsea's shop and blog. You won't regret it!

xoxo,
Me
